University Southwest Focus Areas

The University Southwest District Plan has four focus areas: 40th Street MFL Station Area, Baltimore Avenue Commercial Corridor, 46th and Market Streets, and the Woodland Avenue Commercial Corridor. Below are draft plans for each of the focus areas. Click on the image to enlarge.

Focus Areas are catalysts for their larger context. They are strategically located sites with the potential to benefit the entire district, or even the city as a whole. Reimagining these areas as more dynamic economically, aesthetically, or functionally can have a transformational effect. These long-term visions provide inspiration and a framework as smaller improvements occur incrementally.
